Creating a business plan: Development and production toolbox

The aim of this development and production toolbox is to provide you with a worksheet and samples to help you adequately write and present your product development outline. The toolbox also provides you with samples to provide guidance on how to flesh out the development status and labour requirements description sections.

Worksheet*

  • Development outline: Use this worksheet to help assemble the information you will need for your development outline.

Samples

  • Development status: ABC software produced a detailed schedule showing what steps had to be taken to bring its accounting program to market.
  • Labour requirements description: See how a newsletter publisher describes how it uses freelancers and other contract employees.

*Note on downloading: Worksheets are RTF (Rich Text Format) files which are compatible with most word processing programs. PDF versions are also available. PDF documents can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader software, which can be downloaded from the Adobe site.
